The Scene75 Team is Growing: Meet Sean!

Hey Scene75 Fans,

As many of you already know, Scene75 will be opening a second location in Milford later this summer. As a result, the Scene75 team is going to be expanding and growing over the next couple months. As I write this post, I am actually one of the newest hires to the Scene75 team. I would love to take a little bit of time to introduce myself, as you will likely be hearing from me and seeing me at Scene75 in your future visits. My name is Sean and I will be working as a manager as well as handling the marketing here at the Dayton location.

To help you get to know me a little bit better, I would like to share the story about my first experience at Scene75. I originally heard about Scene75 from their Facebook page a little over two years ago. I was so intrigued that I decided to take a 3-hour trip down here from Michigan (my home state) later that same week with one of my friends. It was everything that I had expected from the Facebook page and more! I had an absolute blast and can honestly say to this day Scene75 remains by far the best entertainment center I have ever visited. And that is saying a lot because I have been to over 50 different entertainment centers since that day. Pause! You are probably thinking that’s a lot of entertainment centers to visit in two years. But I can explain, most of those trips were either for work or in pursuit of one of my hobbies.

The hobby (read: obsession) that takes me across the country to different places like Scene75 is competitive laser tag. It is definitely a unique hobby to have, but… to quote the great Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother, “How’s NOT playing laser tag? Because playing laser tag is AWESOME”! In fact it is so awesome that I have even competed in international laser tag tournaments (and won a gold medal in 2014). So if you ever need any tips about how to get first place in a game of laser tag, just ask for me and I would be happy to teach you. The other, equally fun reason for visiting so many entertainment centers is that since I was 17 I have worked in the family entertainment industry. I started out as a laser tag referee at a laser tag chain in Michigan and have moved up from there. In the last two years I have graduated from college and worked as the Director of Marketing for an entertainment center in Michigan (smaller than Scene75).

I am very excited about this new opportunity to work here in Dayton at Scene75. I know that this is what I want to do for a very long time, because I am doing something I believe in; encouraging people to have fun. Over time I hope that I get the chance to meet all of you and that I can help you to create unforgettable memories at Scene75. I truly want to get to know you and the whole Dayton community.  Next time you come to Scene75 please ask to speak with me so that I can meet you personally.
